 The Piccadilly follows the rise and fall and rise again of a theatre over a period of many decades. Like The Crown, each series features historical and cultural events at a different point in time, measuring the impact on the world of the theatre. Following a diverse group of characters, over a number of series, the story arcs from our introduction to the theatre in the early 1900s to present day.  

Treatment

A series of one hour crime dramas following different stories per episode.

Gritty, atmospheric and character driven we follow the crime solving skills of Jack Howard  and his side kick Joan Frazer.

Pilot - when a serial killer begins staging victims as grotesque imitations of Botero paintings, Jack and Joan are pulled into a case that unearths the hidden rot in politics, the ease of access to the drugs trade, and Jack's stance as an outsider in his own community.

Treatment

Avoiding capture and fighting possible betrayal, a sickly 17 year old boy starts a resistance cell against the German occupying forces of Northern France during World War 1, and in doing so becomes the youngest spy in history.

A risk averse, isolated young teacher, stumbles upon a gang murder. As the sole witness to the crime, Marsha Brown is chased by police and criminals alike, forcing her to go on the run. When Marsha runs out of places to hide, she must face her pursers head on doing what needs to be done to save herself and her family.

 A limited serial drama of 6 -10 episodes, “The Office Administrator” is a tense, cat & mouse style thriller set in the present day with most of the action taking place within a 10-mile radius of a large town/city. 

 The crime, a killer is on the loose, taking people out of their beds, killing them only to return their frozen bodies 2 days later to the exact spot from which they were taken. The killings are not random and the killer is forensic in their methods and clean up. 

 An MIR is set up and our Office Manager is called in. An MIR doesn’t appear miraculously or as if by magic. There is a process, a procedure, a core of highly trained and organized people who pull the necessary resources together to aid the detectives in solving the crime. They are the administrators.  

Treatment

 Inspired by Zena Scott Archer, the first woman president of the Association of British Detectives in 1968, this is a story of a young woman, the agency she took over on her father’s death, the cases she worked and the city she loved.

Set in Liverpool through the mid-1950s – 1960s, the feel is that of a city coming to life after the long darkness of the war. Culture abounds thanks to the sailors visiting from distant shores.

The genre is light comedy, drama which is suspenseful, intriguing and spirited but above all warm. 

The theme is about a woman making it in a man’s world at a time when the woman’s place was very much in the home and not out and about chasing down criminals and ne’er do wells.
