The Piccadilly

The Piccadilly

The Piccadilly

The Piccadilly theater stage with a red curtain and ornate decorations.

The Piccadilly chronicles the rise and fall and rise again of a theatre over many decades. Similar to The Crown, each series showcases historical and cultural events at various points in time, illustrating the theatre's impact on the world. Following a diverse group of characters across multiple series, the narrative unfolds from our introduction to the theatre in the early 1900s to the present day. Jack Howard

The Piccadilly

The Piccadilly

A man in a blue suit and a woman resting during a picnic with fruit around.

A series of one-hour crime dramas featuring unique stories in each episode, designed with meticulous film outlines. Gritty, atmospheric, and character-driven, we follow the crime-solving skills of Jack Howard and his sidekick Joan Frazer as they navigate complex narratives. In the pilot episode, when a serial killer begins staging victims as grotesque imitations of Botero paintings, Jack and Joan are drawn into a case that reveals the hidden rot in politics, the ease of access to the drugs trade, and Jack's position as an outsider in his own community. Trulin

The Piccadilly

Marsha Brown

Vintage portrait of a young man with the word 'TRULIN' in red.

In a gripping narrative that could serve as one of the compelling film outlines, a sickly 17-year-old boy, determined to avoid capture and combat potential betrayal, initiates a resistance cell against the German occupying forces in Northern France during World War 1. This brave endeavor not only marks him as a key figure in history but also establishes him as the youngest spy ever. For those interested in script writing or TV series outlines, further details are available in the Treatment tab.

Marsha Brown

Marsha Brown

When Marsha runs out of places to hide, she must face her pursuers head-on, doing what needs to be done to save herself and her family. I Saw a Mouse

Creepy message over a graveyard scene and a close-up eye.

An ageing and volatile member of an ancient European crime family has been outcast. Unable to command her impulses, she spirals out of control, causing innocent lives to be lost or changed forever. What the Dickens

Vintage poster of Dickens with Victorian-era men in formal attire.

Liverpool circa 1880. A criminal gang is abducting children off the streets. A lucrative trade exists in selling children into servitude and indentured trades in the New Worlds. One young policeman, John Dickens, becomes aware of the gang and inadvertently finds himself in their sights after rescuing a kidnapped boy. With the support of his fearless and resourceful landlady and her savant daughter, he must battle the gang to put an end to their nefarious trade before they silence him. This compelling narrative serves as an engaging example for those interested in film outlines and script writing, particularly for TV series outlines. Please see the Treatment tab for more detail or visit our Scene Break Podcast to hear us chat about Dickens.

The Office Administrator

Magnifying glass over document titled 'The Office Administrator' with glasses and burnt paper edges.

A limited serial drama of 6-10 episodes, “The Office Administrator” is a tense, cat & mouse style thriller set in the present day, with most of the action taking place within a 10-mile radius of a large town or city. This gripping series is one of the compelling TV series outlines that showcases a killer on the loose, who takes victims from their beds, only to return their frozen bodies two days later to the exact spot from which they were taken. The murders are not random, as the killer employs forensic methods and thorough cleanup processes.

An Major Incident Response (MIR) team is set up, and our Office Manager is called in to assist. An MIR doesn’t appear miraculously; there is a structured process and a core group of highly trained administrators who collaborate to pull the necessary resources together to aid detectives in solving the crime. This highlights the importance of detailed script writing in creating a narrative that captures the essence of such thrilling scenarios.

All About Yves

Vintage-style poster featuring a man in a suit with text 'All About Yves'.

This is a joyful sunny story, set in the South of France, that could easily fit into film outlines for a heartwarming narrative. It centers around a 70+ retired gigolo, Yves, who reflects on his past experiences from arriving in the South of France, changing his name, losing his virginity, and the women he loved and who loved him. In the midst of his journey, a child Yves didn't know he had emerges as a young woman and travels from the USA to find him. For the first time in his life, Yves develops a long-term relationship with a woman that is unrelated to sex or money, making this tale a perfect example for script writing and TV series outlines focused on deeper connections.

The Liverpool Detective Agency

Woman in trench coat and hat in dramatic black-and-white film noir style.

Inspired by Zena Scott Archer, the first woman president of the Association of British Detectives in 1968, this is a story of a young woman who took over her father's detective agency upon his death. It explores the cases she tackled and the city she cherished. Set in Liverpool during the mid-1950s to the 1960s, the atmosphere reflects a city awakening after the prolonged darkness of the war, enriched by the vibrant culture brought by sailors from distant shores. This narrative falls within the light comedy and drama genres, combining suspenseful and intriguing elements with a warm, spirited tone. The central theme revolves around a determined woman carving her path in a man's world, a time when societal norms dictated that a woman's place was primarily in the home, rather than pursuing criminals and ne’er-do-wells.
